The Apartment: This is a large unit in a house with a separate entrance.

Descripton of Apartment: Large living room, cozy bedroom large enough for a double bed, spacious open kitchen, stand up shower bathroom, and laundry space. Can be furnished (additional $50/mo) or unfurnished. Includes utilities, Fios 150/150 WiFi, your own private washer/dryer. We are at the end of a cul-de-sac, next to a wooded lot, so in addition to the close proximity to the ferry, it's a quiet little nook in the big city.

The rest of the House: Large and quiet, is a solid Victorian from the 1890's. Thick walls add to the privacy., some people are 9-5'ers, others work evenings or go to classes, etc.

Outside: We have a beautiful, large wooden porch that was redone a few years ago. There is a secure Bike Locker adjacent to the porch. The yard is a nice garden, mix of herbs, flowers, shrubs, evergreens. It's shaped like a triangle with woods on one side; bamboo, an oak and maple on another side, and the street in front. There is a large fire pit on the side of the house made of firestone for BBQing in the summer, a large gas grill for BBQ, a patio in the back, and a slate tiled balcony on the second floor, at the end of a book lined hallway. There is a Japanese maple in the front yard, a cherry tree, and a 20 ft rose bush at the front entrance of the house.

The Neighborhood: We're a block or so behind Curtis High School at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac next to a wooded lot. It's a safe, quiet, diverse neighborhood, full of working professionals and families. Grocery stores, restaurants, a farmers market, public library, and other services are walkable. There is a running path 5 minutes away by foot that goes along the water to the ferry. The walk to the free SI Ferry is 10 minutes. There are additional bars and restaurants at the beautifully redone new ferry terminal. Since the hub of public transport on SI is also the Ferry terminal, navigation of the island without a car is easy if you choose. Otherwise, its an easy hop into town.

Parking: You will have the parking spot in front of the garage included in your rent. Street parking when friends visit is also plentiful and free, there is no alt./side street cleaning here.

Possible/let's discuss: We will consider pets depending on the animal. We like pets, but it's always good to meet them first. There would be an additional $200 deposit for a pet.

Requirements: First, last and a security deposit, plus credit check.
