I'm looking for someone to take over my lease for this high-floor, rent-stabilized one-bedroom at The Ashland in Fort Greene beginning around September 15 (some flexibility through early October).

The apartment has been one of my favorite places I've lived in New York. Floor-to-ceiling windows wrap the living room and bedroom, filling the apartment with natural light throughout the day and offering expansive views over Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and beyond. It's especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset.

Additional fees

The building will require the new tenant to complete a standard application and meet their qualification requirements (approximately 40× annual income or guarantor if applicable). The application fee is $20 per applicant. Once approved, you'll assume the remainder of the lease through May 19, 2027, with the option to renew directly with the building.
