This is an extra large (~700 sq ft) one bedroom in the Forge, a luxury rental building in LIC with a gym, doorman, package room, courtyard, many common spaces, twice weekly yoga classes, monthly events, and a seasonal outdoor pool. It's been a dream building with excellent maintenance responsiveness, high quality appliances, very well insulated and sound-proofed walls, and very conveniently located blocks from Court Square, Queens Plaza, and Queensboro Plaza for access to the E, F, G, 7, N, W, and R trains.

There is an optional $100/mo per person amenities fee for access to all the gym and the common spaces, no pet fee, and a fee of around $20/mo for each bike stored in the bike room. Parking usually has a waitlist you can get on and can be worked out with building management if you'd like to get on it. We never had a vehicle here.

This unit in particular is in the corner with two stairwells as a buffer, so we've been impressed with how quiet it's been even with all the construction around Court Square since 2022. There's also ample storage, with a large walk-in closet in the bedroom, a shoe closet, two extra wide coat closets with sliding doors, and plenty of cabinet storage above the kitchen.

We actually found this unit on Leasebreak four years ago when we moved to NYC and loved it so much we stayed the entire time and re-signed for a fifth year with the intention of buying a home sometime during our new lease. It turns out we are moving back to Chicago about six months sooner than expected to be closer to family, so this is a rare chance to rent for 12 months at our rent-stabilized price carried over from the previous tenants, with the option to renew after next September at market rate.

We have an entertainment unit that fits the dimensions perfectly we could leave for you for free if you'd like, as well as a large dresser in the bedroom and plenty of extra shelving and storage pieces.

We intend to move most of our larger furniture items, but if there is anything that you specifically would like for us to leave behind, please let us know and we can discuss. We're open to negotiation on any pieces for an earlier move-in date.
