OUR SPACE

The Front Library Suite is a spacious furnished room within our historic Upper East Side townhouse. Original details such as parquet floors, a carved marble fireplace, and 10-foot ceilings reflect the character of the house, while the generous layout offers more space than many typical NYC studio accommodations.

The suite is furnished with a carved four-poster queen bed, a Ralph Lauren leather bench, a marble-topped Victorian dresser and washstand, a coffee table, and an oriental rug. A rectangular marble table serves as a comfortable workspace or dining area.

Three north-facing windows overlook neighboring brownstones and treetops along East 62nd Street, bringing natural light into the suite throughout the day.

The narrow vintage-style bathroom includes a tub/shower combination, wall-mounted sink, and toilet. We recently installed a more compact sink and updated toilet to improve functionality and create additional space within the bathroom. Some cosmetic flooring imperfections remain from the sink replacement and will be addressed as part of future updates.

While the suite does not include a kitchen, guests have access to a mini refrigerator with freezer compartment, electric kettle, cups, glasses, and basic cutlery. Additional cooking appliances are not permitted. The surrounding neighborhood offers numerous restaurants, cafés, grocery stores, and prepared-food options within walking distance.

Suite Features & Amenities:
• Queen four-poster bed
• Original parquet floors and decorative marble fireplace
• 10-foot ceilings
• Marble table suitable for work or dining
• Vintage-style ensuite bathroom with tub/shower combination
• Three large north-facing windows with treetop and townhouse views
• Mini fridge with freezer compartment and electric kettle
• Limited storage space, including one hanging closet and bureau
• Portable A/C installed seasonally
• Private keyed entrance from the townhouse stair hall

Located in a historic townhouse on East 62nd Street between Park and Lexington Avenues, this bright and spacious 1-room suite offers a comfortable extended-stay experience in a classic Upper East Side setting. The apartment is best suited for guests seeking a quieter residential environment.

The location provides convenient access to Central Park, East Midtown, public transportation, restaurants, cafes, grocery stores, and everyday essentials, all within walking distance.

Important Things to Know:
• Stair Access: The suite is located two flights up (36 stairs) from the ground floor; there is no elevator.

ADDITIONAL HOME TRUTHS:
• Our location offers unbeatable convenience, with the Lexington Avenue-59 Street and 63rd Street Stations providing access to the E, F, Q, N, R, and W subway lines, making it easy to explore the city. The neighborhood offers proximity to Central Park, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, top hospitals, premier shopping, and dining.
• As with most centrally located Manhattan buildings, guests should expect occasional city noise, including traffic, sirens, construction, and activity from neighboring buildings. Rooms at the rear of the house tend to be quieter than those facing the street, though apartments with both front and back exposures may experience a mix of city and courtyard sounds.
• Fireplaces are original to the historic house but are decorative only and may not be used.
• The apartments do not come equipped with an intercom or buzzer system. Typically visitors are met at the door and let in directly by the guest.
• Wi-Fi supports basic work-from-home needs but not heavy downloads. The suite does not include cable TV, but a TV is provided with a ROKU device for streaming Netflix, Amazon Prime, or other TV apps through subscription. Guests must have their own username and password to access fee-based programming.
• There is no in-house laundry, but guests have access to numerous wash-and-fold services nearby, many of which offer free pickup and delivery with 24-hour turnaround.
• Pets are not permitted.
• The charming, late 1800s townhouse is not a modern structure – think creaky floorboards and sloping wood floors.
• This home was built in 1871, so there are signs of wear.

Other info

Thank you for considering a stay with us. We're a small family-run business offering a unique experience that blends the charm of a historic brownstone with the vibrant energy of New York City.

To ensure a great stay for all, we ask that guests review our policies before booking.

Our rates reflect the value of a prime-location, furnished extended-stay rental. While we don’t offer standard discounts for monthly or long-term stays, last-minute discounts may be available on our Airbnb listings—feel free to contact us for links.

Please note, our late-1800s townhouse retains much of its original character, which includes signs of age and may not meet all accessibility needs. There is no buzzer or intercom, so guests must coordinate directly with delivery services. Some city noise is to be expected due to our central location.

We’re unable to accommodate pets, and there is no on-site laundry. However, several nearby laundry and dry-cleaning services offer convenient pickup and delivery.
