Property Details

This is a 1 bedroom apartment on 56th & 6th ave. It's a 3rd floor walk up (florist directly below, 2 apartments per floor in building). 3 short blocks from the 6th avenue entrance to Central Park. I have lived in the unit for about a year and a half, re-signed in March however I am now moving out of state in September - although I can be flexible on my moving date and move it to start of August.

The area has a lot of offices so evenings and weekends are pretty quiet for Manhattan. The walls are solid so no noise at all from surrounding apartments (occasionally hear a bump from upstairs). The solid walls do make installing shelves or a mounted TV tough work.

There's a dishwasher (not full size, top rack is a half rack to accommodate sink above), gas cooker and a built-in microwave in the kitchen. Kitchen is small but everything works, never had any issues there.

Water pressure in the shower is good & the shower head is plenty high enough (I'm 6ft) & never had any issues with the plumbing or hot water.

Storage closets in the entranceway and bedroom are full ceiling height with shelves installed. Both are wider inside than the doors so you can organize a lot more than you would imagine in those.

For room scale - I have a queen sized bed, when I moved in I think I worked out a king is possible in there but only if re-orientating to where I have the wardrobe.

I have Verizon hooked up here although I do think they was an alternative option available, I believe it was Optimum.

There are no washing facilities in the building. Wash&fold drop offs are across 6th Avenue, myself and a neighbor have been using a collection and delivery service instead.

There is also no central AC in the building. I have a 12,000 BTU window unit installed in the living room and just a fan in the bedroom for the extremes of summer. The radiator is one of those old steel ones it is plenty warm enough in here in the coldest of winters.

Building supers live very close-by & management company is responsive.

There are no additional monthly fees from management, $3450 is the exact amount due each month unless paying by credit card.

I will have the unit professionally cleaned upon my move out.

Incentives

Possibility of some furniture staying here as I am moving out of state, can be discussed if desired. I can definitely leave the installed window unit, curtains etc if wanted

Documentation is standard - proof of employment (earnings 40x rent - $138k, I beleive but am not sure that they do accept guarantors), tax returns, completed application form

Pets are not allowed per the lease - I do not know if they accept pets as I do not have one. I can enquire if necessary
