A homey 1-bedroom apartment, with a separate kitchen and one bathroom. The apartment is fully furnished and the kitchen has a dishwasher. There is also laundry in the building. The window AC unit is already installed. The apartment is a walkup on the 5th floor and has lots of light. The building is only a 5 min walk away from Broadway station where N and W trains stop. 15 minutes away from Central Park on the train. If you like other means of transportation, there are two Citibike stations on the same street and 15 mins away is a ferryboat that can take you to Upper East 90th street in 2 minutes or all the way down the East River to Wall Street or Brooklyn. In the neighborhood there are a ton of great options for restaurants, bars and coffeeshops. Under Pressure espresso bar, Balancero, Aliada Cypriot cuisine, Sweet Afton, Sanfords to name a few. The area is quiet but if you walk a few blocks towards Steinway you will find a lot of fun bars to go out. Astoria Park and Socrates Sculpture park are in walking distance. The Noguchi Museum is only 10 minutes away and for film lovers the Museum of Moving Image is nearby as well. Monthly rent is $2,665 + utilities. We can prorate the rent based on the amount of days the person is interested in staying. We do ask for a security deposit of one monthly rent that we will return after the sublet. The utilities in the apartment are separate from the rent. The ConEd bill will reflect the usage of gas and electricity and Wifi is $59.99 per month. The laundry is $1.75 per wash and 35cent per 10 minutes for the dryer. We are looking for a responsible and tidy person who will be a good steward of our cozy place in our absence, ideally during the mentioned dates, but we could be flexible. We keep our space clean and tidy. No pets allowed.
