Bright Crown Heights studio with exposed brick, high ceilings and excellent subway access — available August 1
Charming studio apartment on the 2nd floor of a walk-up building in the heart of Crown Heights, available August 1. The current rent is $2,200/month, and is being raised to $2,600 by the landlord. As I’m breaking my lease due to moving out of the city, the new tenant would sign a new 12-month lease directly with the landlord, with renewal possible.
The apartment has a lot of character, with beautiful exposed brick, high ceilings, and large front-facing windows that bring in great natural light throughout the day. It feels bright, comfortable and full of warmth.
The apartment includes:
• Full kitchen with gas stove and oven plus a large fridge/freezer
• Bathroom with tub/shower
• Two built-in closets plus deep storage above them
• Window AC allowed — I’ll also be selling my window unit, so that may be available if helpful
• Water included
• Pets allowed
The location is a major highlight. You’re less than a 5-minute walk to the 3 train at Nostrand Ave/Eastern Parkway, with easy access also to:
• 2, 3, 4 and 5 trains at Franklin Ave
• A and C trains at Nostrand Ave/Atlantic Ave
It’s an easy commute — I work in Midtown and make the trip most weekdays, and it takes around 30 minutes to get to Manhattan.
You’re also only about a 15–20 minute walk from Prospect Park, and surrounded by some of the best things about Crown Heights: excellent restaurants, bars, cafés and a genuinely vibrant neighborhood feel. There’s also a laundromat directly across the street, which is very convenient.
Honestly, my favorite thing about living here has been the neighborhood. Crown Heights is an amazing place to live — lively, welcoming and full of character. The neighbors in the building are friendly, and the only reason I’m moving is because I’m leaving the city. Otherwise, I’d have been very happy staying here for years.
