Property Details
Looking for someone to take over the remainder of my lease, as I am moving out of state. The lease runs through January 8, 2027, with an option to renew for an additional 12 months at a rent-stabilized rate, about $1000 below the market rent in this luxury high-rise building.
I genuinely LOVE this apartment and building community and would have lived here indefinitely if I had stayed in NYC. I was lucky to have gotten a steep COVID discount in this rent-stabilized property, so the rent is way lower than that at most other apartment units in Gotham and the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood.
Gotham West as a community is really great, too. The building and the garden are impeccably maintained by friendly, professional staff, and it has monthly events (and occasional field trips out of town!) through which I made many resident friends. It's also VERY pet-friendly if that's relevant. The unit has both an in-unit washer/dryer and an HVAC system running perfectly fine, so everything feels modern and well cared for.
My studio has an excellent layout with ample storage space. It's facing East facing the indoor garden, so you get lots of sunlight and I rarely hear neighbors.
The location is a HUGE plus, too. You’re in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen, with a Target right around the block and countless restaurants, bars, and theaters within easy walking distance. The building also offers a complimentary weekday shuttle to the subway during commuting hours, so you save a lot of money on that, too.
While everyone's welcome to inquire, I prefer those with a 700+ credit rating, as the application with the building will proceed more smoothly (and you'll only need to put down a $1000 deposit if meeting that requirement).
