I am a professor on sabbatical the 25-26 academic year. I am ideally looking for someone who will be in NYC for the 25-26 academic year on a fellowship at a nearby university, library, research center, writing or artist residency. This apartment is best for one person, but works for a couple. Please be responsible, clean, communicative, flexible, and financially stable. Apartment is rented as is. A plus if you are handy - having said that, everything is in excellent working condition. Must be a conscientious neighbor because this is a co-op and our building is self-managed. If you enjoy museums, parks, walks, restaurants, and all that NYC has to offer, but also need a quiet place to rest and work in the midst of all of this, this is the perfect apartment for you. It is very possible to work at home in this apartment. I have a large table, printer, fast internet - I personally work at home regularly.

The bedroom is a nook offside the dining room. There is a fold out twin bed for guests, a new couch and ottoman, and a new dining room table. There are two picnic tables available for use outside (they are stored in the shed.) Riverside park is a half a block away; there is a community garden and the park is right on the Hudson River - this is a jogger or walker's dream. There is also a tennis court at the park.

The apartment is a five minute walk from the 1,2,3 subway lines and several busses. It is ideally located for anywhere in Manhattan. A 10 minute subway to Columbia University, a 20 minute subway to Times Square and Penn Station.
