Hi, I have a room available in a spacious Williamsburg 2 bed right off the L and G. The room is $2200, available July 1st, and move-in date is flexible.

The apartment: 6th floor unit with massive windows and a view of the Manhattan skyline. The kitchen has a huge countertop, lots of storage, and built-in dishwasher. There is also a laundry room and bike storage in the building.

The location: 3 minutes from the L and G (Metropolitan/Lorimer), 5 minutes from McCarren Park, 15 minutes from Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s, and bars and restaurants in every direction for every vibe.

Please note: I have a cat named Ollie! He has the final say on my future roommate, so only reach out if you love cats too. Don't worry, he's very cute and very friendly.

Also note: most of the furniture and decor in the pictures belong to my former roommate, and the apartment is now largely a fresh canvas. Let me know if you have any furniture or decor you’d like to bring.

About me: I’m a 29 year old guy who lives for good food, good music, and good company. I work from home most days, mostly so I can annoy Ollie in between meetings.

About you: My top priority in a roommate (aside from stuff like paying rent on time) is the VIBE. My apartment is my sanctuary and it’s important that you are also warm, emotionally intelligent, and committed to making the space feel like home. My ideal is a dynamic in which we can hash out roommate business while enjoying a coffee or beer - a dynamic in which we are just as comfortable chit chatting about our day as we do existing in the same space in silence. This doesn’t need to mean we need to be best friends (although FWIW, I have a storied history of roommates turning into friends) - but I think home always feels homier if my roommate is someone I can watch a movie, grab a meal, or lightheartedly gripe about work with.
