Property Details
Due to a change in our personal circumstances we have to leave our beautiful apartment in Gramercy and we are looking for someone take over our lease. We loved our time here and wished we did not have to leave.

Apartment
The apartment is a one-bedroom corner unit (see floor plans attached, pics are of the actual apartment). The unit is fully renovated, with hardwood floors and modern appliances. Dishwasher, washer/dryer, perfectly functioning. Bedroom fits a queen bed comfortably, but we managed to fit a king with a slim frame and two dressers. There is space for a couch and a large dining table. (You will visit the apartment furnished, so you’ll have the opportunity to see how everything fits). LOADS of storage space. A unique gem. Comparable units are currently on the market for 500+ more monthly.
Building
The building is a super charming pre-war building (there is even an original mail tube going across floors). 24/7 doorman, live-in super, fitness studio. The trash room is located inside the building (no need to go outside). All floors have mosaic flooring. Management is great - we never had any issues, no problem for renewals, very reasonable. Testament to this is the fact that the place we are moving to is managed by the same company.
Area
The area is super quiet, close to a police station, walking distance from Flatiron/Union Square/Madison square park.
There are several grocery stores around. You have some really nice neighborhood spots in the block - Malt and Mold if you fancy a drink and a chat with friendly people, Citizens for brunch, Rosemary’s for a cozy dinner. For Trader Joe's fans concerned about out-of-stock items, there are 4 Trader Joe's locations within a 15-minute walk :).
Transport
This location lets you get anywhere really quickly.
The 6 train station is an 8-minute walk away, while the R/W/L stations are a 12-minute walk away.
You can also easily walk to Union Square for more trains.
Multiple buses within 2 blocks, e.g. M23, M34, M15, M101/102/103

The lease
You will take over our lease officially through the leasing office, so they’ll run a credit check and do all the usual admin.
We are looking for someone to take it over from January (exact day flexible). Our current lease ends April 25. You can either take over the current lease, or sign a new yearly lease directly (but the company might increase the price 5% if you do that, so so we’d advise taking over for 4 months and renewing in April.)
No fees/No broker fees. 1 month deposit.
