Property Details

We are two late 20’s females (she/her) looking for another human also in their late 20’s or older to sublet the third room in our apartment opening January 1! The room is available until July 31, 2023 with the possibility of signing the lease after.  We’re looking for someone to stay the entire 7 months!


Our third roommate is moving abroad - we’re looking for someone to take over the room who is considerate, responsible, clean, open-minded and easy-going who also enjoys a homey, peaceful space. 


The apartment itself is a spacious 3 bed, 1 bath in a small building in a great Williamsburg spot near the bridge close to a ton of cafes, bodegas and restaurants. Less than a 10-minute walk to Domino park, Whole Foods and Trader Joes. We have a private backyard (accessible through 2 bedrooms including the one that would be yours). Living room and kitchen are fully furnished including a TV.  Laundromat is a block and a half away.


The room would come unfurnished though our roommate may be willing to sell some of their items including the window AC unit. It fits up to a king-sized bed and has its own full-size closet and recessed space that previous roommates have made into a work area or put a couch (or bed itself!) 


About a 10-minute walk to the Bedford L or 7 minutes to Marcy J/M and bus stop right in front of the apartment. 



Utilities (wifi, electric/gas) usually average $100 or less per person each month (not included in rent). 


About us:
* One roommate works in retail a combination of weekdays and weekends. The other works typically 9-5/M-F at an environmental and social justice nonprofit mostly remotely though regularly needs to go into the field/the office (and is vegetarian/leans vegan; tries to live as sustainably as possible & would prefer a fellow earth-forward roomie but not a problem if not).
* Anyone who identifies as LGBTQ+ and BIPOC should feel comfortable/welcome in our home.
* Open, respectful communication is a must.
* We appreciate mindfulness of common spaces and share cleaning responsibilities—we generally strive to keep the place tidy and free of crumbs/messes, but are understanding of occasional chaotic days.
* We’re not partiers though have hosted low-key dinner gatherings in the past and only occasionally have guests, letting the other roommates know ahead of time and usually not for more than a few days/nights if staying over.
* We're fairly quiet and would prefer to live with someone who is also relatively quiet. 
* Mostly do our own thing though happy to hang as well.
* 420 friendly though ask that you keep to your room. 
* Love animals but don't have any pets of our own (aside from a stray cat who has made a home in our backyard and occasional visits from friends’ pets - unfortunately our building doesn’t allow them).

One-month security deposit required.
