Located in one of NYC’s most historic neighborhoods at 162nd Street and Jumel Terrace, this fully furnished Uptown alcove studio includes a separate private sleeping area, making it a great rental option for your upcoming visit to New York. This 3rd floor walkup apartment (considered the 2nd floor by Europeans) is situated in Washington Heights in a prewar building built in 1898 by renowned architect Henry Foucheaux, and it has been designated a landmark townhouse. As a resident you will also receive access to the building’s sculpture garden. The building also includes an intercom system. As you enter the apartment’s living area, you’ll be struck by the excellent views of some of New York’s most prominent landmarks. The Empire State Building, Coogan’s Bluff, Yankee Stadium and the neighboring Morris Jumel Mansion are all sometimes visible from late autumn through late spring out of the three windows in the living room. Here you will also find a twin bed and television, as well as a dining room table and chairs. In the open kitchen there is a selection of modern appliances for cooking at home and a small refrigerator for keeping fresh food. The compact sleeping area (designated as Living Room 2 on the floor plan and photos) is separated from the living area by folding accordion doors. Please note that these do not extend fully to the ceiling, which may limit privacy. This room offers a second closet option and there is also a double bed and a window. The bathroom has a full tub with shower and towels and linens are included for the duration of your stay
