The apartment is a large alcove studio with ample, lofted storage space that includes shelving for books or other items. The ladder tucks away by the fireplace so it's out of the way when not in use.

The space isn't a boring cube like most studios. Also, there is a great kitchen that is set back from the living space, and which includes a dishwasher. The fireplace (working), high ceilings, and exposed brick add a lot of charm. Also, the large windows get a lot of light in the morning.

The building is a beautiful brownstone on a historic block right around the corner from Central Park and Riverside Park.
