Property Details

On this leafy Northern Street, undeniably one of the most excellent in the Jumel Terrace Historic District, in a lovely lime stoned residence there it is 444 West 162nd Street Unit Two is thoughtfully originated with an unalike layout, plank wood flooring, three fab skylights, two decorative mantelplaces, real nice original millwork and trim, and a nifty floorplan that offers sundry options in terms of set up and design. The kitchen with contemporary steel/wood appliances and cabinetry passes through an adjoined dining area that is nestled into a unique dwelling room that will be enjoyed as you see fit. The homes black and white tiled three-quarter bath with a comfortable walk in shower and a tall skylit ceiling makes for an especially bright and shiny rising! Heading down the floors own hallway towards the front of the house there are two neighboring rooms. One is probably best for resting and relaxing, while the other would make for an ideal workplace studio. With that said, as the units layout is super flexible, your wish is its command. Heading down and out through gorgeous stairways and a still kept entry hall you may beam at thoughts of spending quite social time in the modestly blended and cloistered front garden respite. Within a terrific house on one of the loveliest blocks off Sylvan Terrace in Washington Heights, this is a must see offering for sure. The ambiance is just lovely, everyone agrees.Nearby is High Bridge Park, on the banks of the Harlem River, which is operated by the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation. The City maintains the southern half of the park while the northern half is maintained by the non-profit New York Restoration Project. Prominent in the park are the Manhattan end of the restored High Bridge, the High Bridge Water Tower, and the Highbridge Play Center. Also neighboring by is the historic mid-Seventeenth century Federal style museum home Morris-Jumel Mansion (aka the Roger and Mary Philipse Morris House) which was built in 1765 by Roger Morris, a British military officer, and served as a headquarters for both sides in the American Revolution. The gardens are open to the public, and they are a wonderful retreat. As for transportation and amenities in the neighborhood they are most excellent and nigh! Upon your visiting all its effortlessness will be apparent and perhaps you will have finally found your new home. I would be delighted to introduce you.
