This is a queen sized room, with enough room for a desk, set of drawers, and possibly more. Two windows, west facing. Tall closet.

The whole apartment is a pretty recent reno. The fixtures and appliances are relatively new and in good condition. The kitchen is huge for NYC standards. Cooking in there feels great.

All utilities are included in the rent, including bi-monthly visits from a housekeeper who cleans the common spaces.

The apartment is about an 8 minute walk to the Newkirk Plaza B/Q, so express and local trains. The F at 18th Street is about a 20 minute walk in the opposite direction. I don't drive, but one of the roommates tells me this location is good for cars, as parking isn't too time consuming and proximity to multiple gas stations.

Brooklyn College is easily accessible, either via the Q, one stop or walking, 25 minutes through a quiet suburb.

There are two grocery stores a short walk away by Newkirk Plaza. The Flatbush Food Coop is a little further, about 20 minute walk.

Nightlife is quiet in this area, but there is plenty to do up on Cortelyou, one Q stop or 10 minute walk.

All utilities are included in the rent: heat, hot water, internet, electricity, and house keeping the shared space.

Additional fee

The landlord will want some references, who he will call, a background check, and a credit check.

The landlord is pretty responsive and accommodating about the lease. I have a 12 month, while some of the other roommates have a 6 month.
