We have a 30-90 day minimum stay requirement (no exceptions). Reservations for dates not contiguous with existing reservations will be rejected.
NYC occupancy tax is applicable for stays under 181 nights. The occupancy tax rate is 5.875% + $2/night. Tax-exemption for stays of 181 days or longer (contract must be signed for a stay of 181 days or longer to be exempt from paying tax)

Fully furnished full-floor apartment conveniently located in Manhattan's Upper East Side Historic District (Lenox Hill) on east 62nd Street between Park and Lexington Avenue within close proximity to East Midtown Manhattan. The house is surrounded by upscale restaurants, excellent shopping options and transportation.

The house is located one block from the 61st Street & Lexington train stop and 2 blocks from the 60th street/Lexington Avenue train stop. Central Park is two blocks away. The central and convenient neighborhood offers every possible amenity and convenience (shoe repairs, pharmacies, hair and nail salons, food shopping, etc.). Bloomingdales is two blocks away. This is the most convenient Upper East Side location, close to everything. Traveling out of the City is incredibly convenient from the house. The 59th Street Bridge is a few blocks from the house. There is an FDR exit on 63rd and York Avenue. There are several subway train lines 1 and 2 blocks away.

The sunny full-floor apartment is a 1 BR with a small accessory room furnished with a table and chair perfect for use as home office. Because the 2nd room is too small to fit a bed and to give the apartment some flexibility, we have furnished it with 2 Queen size beds, one bed in the front room and one bed in the back room (the bedroom). There is no separate living room. Full kitchen with dishwasher and full bathroom. Open views. Features include quaint touches throughout with decorative fireplaces, built in bookcases, a large sitting and dining area with a table and five chairs. Serene open views of tree-lined street from the front living room. The apartment is located 4 flights above entry hall area.

Other info

We think you should know:
-As 1871 House is a historical building and retains much of its 19th Century structure, it is not suited for all accessibility needs.
-The charming, late 1800s townhouse, is not a modern structure – think creaky floorboards and things as such.
-There’s no elevator in the building and the apartment is four flights up from the entry hall level, so be prepared to haul your luggage.
-This suite is not equipped with an intercom or buzzer system
-The kitchen is older but still good enough to prepare your morning coffee and other basics
-One of the queen beds is in the living room (there's no separate living room) allowing 2 persons to share this apartment.
-As this is a 1-BR apartment, two persons maximum occupancy permitted.
-As this is NYC, you shouldn’t expect the streets below to be quiet – there may be construction or traffic noise nearby.
-The fireplaces are only decorative
-a/c available June-October (supplemental fee).
-Smoking is not permitted.
-Pets are not permitted.
-Equipment is stored in the apartment’s such as its a/cs, fans and cleaning supplies.
-One TV is provided in the suite (Sony Bravia 26″ LCD HDTV). We include a ROKU device for streaming your favorite free or subscription based apps for watching movies or shows on Netflix, Amazon or other available apps.
