A "leasebreak" is when a current tenant is looking to get out of their lease early. An apartment that is offered as a leasebreak takes one of the following three forms: a "sublet", where the incoming tenant sublets from the current tenant, a "lease assignment", where the incoming tenant takes over the remaining months of the lease from the current tenant, and a "lease break", where the old lease terminates, and a new 12 month lease is signed by an incoming tenant.
