Subletting a fully furnished 1Br, in a 3Br 1Shared Bath apartment. It's a simple 4th floor walk-up with great natural lighting. Perfect starter apartment if you're trying to get settled in NYC, or just looking for a summer pad to see the city. Affordable and rent controlled with the option to sign onto the lease at the end of the year. It's definitely the largest apartment I've lived in during my time in NYC. The room comes with a Queen Size bed, a lamp, a full standing mirror, a dresser to put clothes away, closet space, and a large rug that spans the room. With everything included there's still room to stretch out, do yoga, add a work desk if you WFH, all w/ room to spare.

Two large windows give the room a very open feel. The roommates Beau and Brandon are great. They both work full-time jobs. One works security while the other's completing school. Their one requirement is that you clean up after yourself, wash your own dishes and take out the trash. Every week they split chores cleaning the house/bathroom, sweeping the floors, etc. Simple chores that any responsible adult can manage. They both have girlfriends that visit and are pretty laid back. There's a cat named Coco that's friendly and chill. The kitchen comes with everything except a dishwasher. And the living room is large enough to throw a small gathering.

I'm willing to sublet month to month - or in 3 - 6 month intervals. You'll split utilities + wifi with Brandon and Beau.

Additional fee

There's a $300 deposit and we'll sign a sublease contract to lock in the dates you'll occupy the room.

Other info

The neighborhood is great. Lot of local eateries, parks in walking distance, gyms, and vibrant nightspots. The apartment is located near two train stations. The 1 and the A Trains. There's a heavy latino population that's fairly active. Close to the post office, barbershops, pharmacy's, laundromat. The traffic/noise can be a bit overwhelming at times because you're so close to the street, and the cars that pass through the intersection are car enthusiast. Nothing a few ear plugs can't cancel out or if you're just a heavy sleeper you'll be fine.


The ideal roommate is someone who's respectful of other living space. This isn't a party spot, but the roommate are often down to hang and take you around the club scene. I work a lot so it's been fairly straight forward. Not many rules as long as you aren't destroying the place and making life hell for your roommates. Some one that's use to old buildings in NY. These aren't those new fancy gentrified apartments. But the price and amount of space make it a great deal that'd hard to pass up.
