We are looking to re-assign the lease for our 1 bedroom apartment in a luxury building in Fort Greene Brooklyn. We have loved living at The Ashland for the last 18 months and feel really lucky to have moved in before last year’s COVID lockdowns. We are moving as we found a house to buy sooner than expected, and are looking for someone interested in taking over the remaining 5 months of our lease (through January 2022) with an opportunity to renew through the building at the end of that lease period.

The apartment, building amenities and community at The Ashland have really improved our quality of living here in NYC. The building staff is amazing and have been so helpful in making us feel at home here. We also enjoy participating in the community events that The Ashland arranges from movie nights to sailing trips to many cooking classes. The roof top views are incredible and we’ve also loved grilling out most weekends in the Summer.

- We love the restaurants nearby in Fort Greene and the apartment is only one block away from Whole Foods, 2 blocks away from Target, and a couple blocks away from Trader Joe’s.

$1,000 Security Deposit
One (1) month’s rent, and additional security deposit, if any, is due from the assignee(s) at assignment signing which will be applied towards their first month. If the assignee’s fico score is less than 700, the building management will need additional security deposit from the assignee to replenish the account up to one month’s rent.

Applicants will need to submit an application with Gotham Properties online and all supporting documents directly to Gotham Properties to qualify for the assignment of the lease. r, if needed, which is refundable. Application documents include;
- Copy of their government issued photo IDs
- Filled out and signed Authorization form to Release Records
- 2 most recent pays-tubs OR 2 most recent years of tax returns if self-employed (yearly compensation or AGI must be 40X the monthly gross rent or 80X in case of a guarantor)
- Most recent complete bank statement from leaseholder and guarantor
