We are very sad to say goodbye to our beautiful one bedroom, one bathroom treehouse apartment in Ditmas Park where we have lived for over three years. We are only leaving because we need more space after having a baby. This apartment has been wonderful, and a true haven during the pandemic.

The apartment is on the third floor of a classic Ditmas Park Victorian house. It has a separate entrance via a regulation-size exterior staircase (which we love to stargaze from!). There is a separate mailbox and doorbell. The owners live in the rest of the house with their two kids and are very interested in maintaining the space and a pleasant environment.

There are windows on all sides of the apartment, including over the kitchen sink, and three of the bedroom windows look onto the willow tree across the street. The bedroom is large, comfortably fitting our queen sized bed (could fit a king) and multiple dressers. It has a separate nook that is currently our baby’s nursery but could be used as an office space. It also has a huge walk-in closet. There is good storage in the rest of the apartment, including in the bathroom and the kitchen which has a pantry, a breakfast bar with seating for four, and cabinets for days.

The apartment is just one block from the Flatbush Food Coop, the best wine shop, and everything else on Cortelyou Road including restaurants, bars, a library, laundry, and a year-round farmer’s market. It is one block from the Cortelyou Q local stop, and approximately three blocks from the Newkirk Ave express B/Q.

This is a takeover of our lease which runs through March 31, 2021. Start date is flexible, 10/1 or 10/15. There is the possibility for renewal or a longer term. Tenant pays electric and internet. Landlord pays heat and water. Unfurnished, but can leave/sell some furniture if wanted (sofa, kitchen chairs, A/Cs, closet wardrobe).
