Property Details
787 East 10th Street is an intimate prewar townhouse straddling Midwood and Ditmas Park. The location is conveniently located about 30 minutes to downtown Manhattan, and about 20 minutes to the Barclays Center by subway (source: Google).
Unit 2R is a peaceful 3 bed, 1 bath apartment with South and East exposures (see floor plan). The kitchen is windowed and features granite counter tops over shaker-style white cabinetry. Stainless steel appliances include a full size refrigerator and gas range. The windowed bathroom has white subway and penny tile accents, a mirrored cabinet and soaking tub. Apartment features parquet wood floors and high ceilings throughout. The building was renovated in 2018 including completely new kitchens and baths.
Built in 1931, the building features a marble-tiled entrance that takes you into a sky-lit stairwell. There are four apartments each with different layouts and 2-3 bedrooms. The finishes in every apartment are similar.
The front yard includes a sitting area suitable for sunny days on this leafy residential block book-ended by Ave H and Foster. There is a laundromat right around the corner at 811 Ave H.
What neighborhood is this? Most sources like Google Maps seem to call it Midwood, but just about a block from Ditmas Park. Whatever you call it, it's a tree-lined, residential, multicultural neighborhood that you should come and explore for yourself. Your first stop should be Di Fara's pizza, called 'the best of the best' by Bourdain and many others. A 13 minute walk from your front door, the calories you burned will justify eating a whole pie! Coney Island Ave just one block away offers diverse fair like Milk & Honey Cafe, The Ox Tavern, Turkish Express, Schnitzi, Zaitoon Halal, and 'Russkiy magazin' along with the usual like bagels and pizza. Short walk to Cortelyou road with lots of shopping and restaurant options including the food co-op [no membership required] and king mother (wine bar / restaurant) as well as Kings County Wines. Other neighborhood destinations include Brooklyn College, the Kent Theater, and the Nike Factory Store.
Notes: Please see floor plans. Brokers are welcome. First and security due at lease signing. Immediate occupancy. All showings including open houses are by appointment only. Images are virtually staged.
