Property Details

This is by far the best place I have lived in NYC. The unit has floor to ceiling windows with a view of Fort Greene Park, is super sunny, and has two huge closets and a full sized kitchen. The apartment is spacious and the layout is very logical and functional—perhaps most importantly for a studio, the kitchen is quite separated and on the far side of the apartment from the sleeping alcove. Kitchen has full sized stainless steel appliances, including dishwasher.

Located on 8th fl. of a pet-friendly doorman building with great amenities, including a beautiful 40th story rooftop lounge with sun cabanas and a fireplace, a 3rd floor zen garden with grills (open now!!), a co-working lounge, a game room, full gym (including 2 Peloton bikes and a yoga room), and large laundry room. Neighbors are very friendly and the building hosts multiple social events per month in the common areas. I know I’m waxing poetic, but truly can’t recommend it enough, and it would be a beautiful place to live this next year, when we're all spending more time at home.

Location: 1 min walk to 2,3,4,5,B,Q,R / 3 mins to G train / 5 mins to AC / very close to the Manhattan Bridge for biking to the city. 1 block from Whole Foods market, 3 blocks from Trader Joes's and Target at DeKalb, 3 minute walk from heart of Fort Greene AND Boerum Hill.

Reasons for leaving

Job Relocation

Incentives

If signed for June 1, 2020 start, I will offer a $1000 incentive either in the form of rent reduction, or including furniture pieces. We can discuss further what would be of interest to the renter.

Additional fee

Since this will be a sublet, I will draw up a sublease agreement and ask for a security deposit. You will have the option to resign with management at the end of the lease term (March 31, 2021). There is also an opportunity to start a new 12 or 24 lease with management instead, if desired.

Other info

The building is pet friendly.

As far as COVID goes, I've been very happy with how management and the building community have handled it. We have a 2 person per elevator car limit, which has always respected in my experience. Since my unit is on the 8th floor, the stairs are an option too. The 3rd floor outdoor space is now open too, which has been a great option to have for extra fresh air.
