Sublet is for Dec 1st, 2019 start, but can be flexible if necessary. Apartment is rent-stabilized (and price is below market at this time) so you don’t have to worry about sudden rent hikes as this neighborhood becomes more and more popular. Landlord has approved sublet but will require background check before sublet lease signing. We’re going to miss this place a ton but need to move as soon as possible. Great location for transit at the intersection of the A/C and 1 trains, with a 5-minute walk to either. 2 blocks to New York Presbyterian/Columbia University Hospital. 10 minutes to Highbridge or Fort Washington Park.

Diverse area and building, with a mixture of families, younger couples and singles, Columbia medical students. On Broadway you’ll find street food, games of dominos, dozens of bodegas all called “Gourmet Deli,” and of course the Heights’ famous open hydrants on hot summer days.

Incredible neighborhood, with everything you need nearby - major grocery stores, pharmacies, laundromats, mom & pop shops, Dominican and Mexican restaurants, Thai and Korean food, excellent bagels, coffee shops, and four new bars within blocks.
