Come live in a beautiful and spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo in a four-unit building on a quiet tree-lined street in the heart of Fort Greene! 2 blocks from Fort Greene park, with a farmer's market every Saturday, and half a block from Dekalb Avenue, home to some of the best restaurants in Brooklyn. The apartment has the highest ceilings of any place I've ever seen in Brooklyn. Bedrooms are in the back of the building so are completely quiet (you can hear bird songs in the morning!). Master bedroom has a walk-through closet and a private bathroom with a large rain shower. Off the master bedroom is a private yard with a grill and enough seating for a dinner party under the stars. Apartment has all the amenities you can think of - central A/C, washer/dryer, ceiling fan, dishwasher, all new kitchen appliances, and a second bathroom with a bathtub with jacuzzi jets. Second bedroom is currently set up as an office, though there is a couch that pulls down into a comfortable bed. Fort Greene is one of the most popular and lovely neighborhoods in Brooklyn, with historic brownstones (apartment is located in the historic district) and all the restaurants/bars/coffee shops you could desire. I love living here and am sorry to leave even for a few months! The neighborhood is walking distance to almost any train you would need - A/C/G/Q/R/B/D/2/3/4/5 all within an easy walk. I am a writer and am living in Paris temporarily for a fellowship. I own the apartment and have left it fully furnished - bonus if you have any love of books, because there are a few hundred in the apartment. I am looking for someone to commit to the apartment for February - May. Dates are flexible.
